I’m considering adding a Biopellet reactor to my system to help me deal with a perpetual elevated Nitrate/Phosphate level.

I want to run the discharge from the reactor directly to my Reef Octopus 200sss Skimmer. The Venturi is attached to the pump via a threaded 1.25” connection.

My plan was to add a threaded 1.25” tee to the pump, cap the “riser”, then drill a hole in the cap the size of the discharge line from the reactor and insert it into the tee. Then attach the Venturi to the end of the Tee.

Will this work? Or will the added distance from the pump to the Venturi be an issue?

Thanks for the assistance.

Doug.

I would just put the exit pipe from the pellet reactor near the intake to the skimmer and call it good. A small amount of bacteria into the tank is good food for the coral and nothing to worry about.
Thanks.
