Skimmer Help needed!

hello, i have been running an aqua c remora with mj1200 on my 25 gallon tank for about a month. In the past week the skimmer has been putting out so much water waste that my salinity has dropped significantly. I turned off the skimmer and will go skimmer less until i can get my salinity back up slowly. What could be the problem with the skimmer?

not familiar with the model but can you restrict/reduce the air intake?
doing so will change the skim from wet to dry...

How deep does it set in the water?

Its a hot skimmer with an air injector. Nate, have you dosed anything in your tank or used a dechlorinator? How about aquamend? Red slime remover? Something of this nature. Only other thing is to clean out your injector or add a less gph powerhead to it.
