Skimmer locker apex or stand alone

I’m looking at getting a skimmate locker that has a stand alone version with a power cutoff and a version that plugs into the apex 9 pin port for control of an EB outlet. I love my apex but can’t decide if it is worth using an EB outlet to send an alert? The larger issue for me is cutting off the skimmer if the external container fills. Thoughts?

I can assume you don’t have the skimmer plugged into the eb8 already.

If you don’t and don’t plan on it then get the one that doesn’t use the apex
