I've been running this Bubble Magus Curve 5 in my 90 gallon for 6 months and I've had no problems. I have baffles in my sump and there is no change in level. All of a sudden last night it's overflowing no matter how I set it and I cannot see any reason as nothing has changed? Anything I can do to check some things off the list???

Something died?

Feeding frozen (greasy) foods?
I’ve been using my own recipe of frozen food since the beginning.

I do have a BTA that could be dying but it hasn’t melted yet. I moved it to a qt tank today just in case. I added Phosbuster to the tank a few weeks ago to bring down phosphates and it worked… over 1 to 0.1 in two days. But the BTA hated that and has been declining ever since.

have you added anything to the tank water that would be making it go crazy?
Not recently. But I have a BTA that is in pretty bad shape from too aggressive phosphate removal a few weeks ago. It is shriveled and mouth agape and has been like this since I added the Phosbuster. It looked worse today so I moved it to to a qt tank.

do the bubbles go and down as you turn the dial?

In my mind, if you are turning the dial and it just keeps overflowing, then maybe something is broke and now its in fully open position and no way to turn it down. Hopefully its still on warranty for you

prob something organic going on, if you have checked all the mechanical issues listed above. i had this happen once before, something died. What i did to 'fix' it was let it skim wet for a day and empty it out every hour or whatever. Basically a full water-chage by the time you add back salt water to top it back off at the end of it. also turn off your ATO while you do this or you are going to lower your salinity. At the end of that stuff should be stabile.
