I used to have a Red Sea Skimmer, was good at skimming, but they cheaped out on parts so it doesn't support ozone. I switched to a Nyos because it supports ozone but agree, it's awful, it's just a terrible skimmer - the slightest imperceptible changes and it overflows all the waste back into the tank, I too was finding I was literally having to adjust it daily, because it was a choice between no skimming at all, or overflowing because a fish pooped twice rather than once in a day or whatever.

So I just switched to a Deltec, and I forgot to turn it off whilst I turned the return pump off meaning the sump level increased about 25% - this would've had the Nyos pouring fish poop out the top with bursting bubbles splattering my cabinet and everything in it. But no, the Deltec just... kept on skimming. After the Nyos I was just like what? That's a thing? The Deltec also supports ozone - the only downside to it is on the models smaller than the 1000i there's no drainage hose so you have to lift the cup off to empty it each time which is a shame. Other than that it's been perfect, a real eye opener as to what a skimmer should be like.

My nyos overflows with the slightest inconsistencies so much so, it ends up out of the sump and on the floor lol.

Listen I'm sure it works for some, but for me it's not.

I need to look more into lifereef

I'm using a Bubble Magus Curve 7. When the water level is correct it works like a charm.

Forgot to send a picture of my lifereef. I believe it’s the SV2. This is on my 8’ 240 gallon.

Oh the Tunze skimmers are so trouble free! On my second one, probably 15 years of use..... easy to clean, set and forget.
