A tiny thread of silicone is hanging off the seam of my tank. Tank is 4 months old. Wondering if I leave it, snip it, or freak out.

Yea I figured I was just being paranoid haha. Searched all over the forums and Just haven’t seen someone’s seam do this and wasn’t sure if it was a bigger issue.
I was in a store last week and they had foot long chunks of the top seam that they had knocked off during cleaning. THEY have a problem. Those tanks are probably 10 years old and I don't know why/how they knocked off that much sealant while cleaning. It was basically the whole seam, like a 1/4 inch thick chunk x 12 inches long! They will likely have some salt creep issues from water wicking under the top plastic rim. If a chunk like that comes off the bottom, that's freak out time!

I hope that never happens to anyone.
