Small particles/cloudiness

Hi I’m currently 4 weeks into the saltwater hobbie and I’m a complete newbie I have the Fluval evo 13.5 g with 2 clowns everything is starting to settle parameter wise just have a problem trying to remove small particles from the tank possibly from the substrate when I done a water change I have just the stock return pump and stock filter media box with a poly filter just wondering on any suggestions to tackle the cloudiness/small particles thanks.

Focusing? If you mean in the water column then I would add a flocculent. If you mean what looks like biofilm at the top then you need more surface agitation or a skimmer.

it looks like you for sure need more surface agitation, nothing should be settling/sitting on the top of the water

Point nozzle up, but you also may have the level in back chamber to high. You want the water to slightly drop down from display area to back sump along with pushing or having some surface agitation to push film that direction. This will also help clear up any floating particles. Should be all you need.

Yes I think that may have been the problem I had no surface agitation and my back chamber water lever was quite high appreciate the help thank you.
