I'd put it in the refugium first! If it is a conch it needs deep sand. Watch what it eats. ..I jealous... but be careful.

I'd put it in the refugium first! If it is a conch it needs deep sand. Watch what it eats. ..I jealous... but be careful.

Thanks well i had sand in the littel 2gallon container but it always wanted to be stuck to the glass,

No sand in refuge though ,I was just worried if it had any kinda parasites or anything that could kill fish but im going to first put it in the qt

well ill see what happens i only have a bout 1 inch of sand in the display,


No im thinking maybe i should put sand in the sump..hmmmm

Wait! I came across somthing very similar at my lfs, they had one from the keys, and one from the Atlantic, they both only ate large starfish and messed up all rock, my advice is NO!

Thats huge, be careful with adding wild caught animals. Quarantine it for a while and make sure you know exactly what it is before you add it.

While it may not be F. hunteria (I think it is though). It is definitely of the genus Fascilolaria-- "Tulip Snails". They prey on other Gastropods. I would not add it to your tank if you value the snails you have.
