Snail infestation? Trochus?

I think im having a snail riot in my tank. Im seeing hundreds of them and my refugium chaeto is literally infested. How can i deal with this effectively without affecting anything else? Or will they go away in their own? Tank is few months old.

Yep, i assumed so, but its the third time they're doing it now. Wasnt aware that this is a thing..

If this happens in my aquarium - I would jump up through the roof of pure happiness. Let them grow - If they are to many give them to friends or your LFS. They will do good in your aquarium and control your growrh of microalgae, Yes they have spawn. I had it happen when my aquarium was new but now its have not happens for many years

I’ve been reefing for almost 11 years and never found any baby snails much less eggs, but I just found hundreds of new baby trochus babies in my tank after light out!
