I realized some of my posts are missing content. One of the things I love about Reef2Reef is how educational a lot of these threads are. I find myself learning new things from you guys often.

On that spirit, here is a bit more about the Super Tongan Nassarius Snails...

Super Tongan Nassarius snails are the little cleanup crew you didn’t know you needed in your home aquarium. These guys are surprisingly active for snails—I mean they are FAST! they’ll bury themselves in the sand and pop out like tiny zombies when they smell food, racing across the substrate with their long siphon waving like a periscope. They’re great at keeping the sand bed stirred up, which helps prevent dead spots and keeps things fresh down there. Personality-wise, they’re low-key but entertaining to watch, especially during feeding time when they suddenly come alive. Plus, they’re peaceful and reef-safe, making them an awesome addition to any saltwater setup.

**Banded Trochus Snails - Information**

When I think of Banded Trochus snails, the first thing that comes to mind is their ability to flip themselves over if they fall on their backs—unlike some other snails that require a rescue.

They are ow-maintenance, hardworking and super stylish with their spiral-striped shells. These snails spend most of their time cruising around rocks and the glass surfaces of the tank, munching on algae as if it were their full-time job (which, in a way, it is). I keep them in ALL my coral systems. They do such an amazing job. Banded Trochus snails are peaceful, reef-safe, and don’t bother other tank inhabitants, making them ideal companions for your aquarium. They are mostly nocturnal, so you’ll often see them doing their cleanup work after the lights go out, keeping your tank looking fresh without making a fuss.

Here is my take on the Chiton Snails. I have sold quite a few of them lately. :) I really had no idea they were so popular.

Chiton snails are like the armored tanks of your aquarium. They are slow-moving, tough, and completely chill. However, they tend to climb out of the tank. In my farm, I often find them on the wooden posts. They can be out of water for days and will then casually decide to return to the tank.

Chitons have unique, segmented shells that resemble tiny shields. They go to an area, eat all the algae, and then move on. It can be challenging to remove them once they’ve decided to attach themselves to a surface—whether it’s a rock or the glass. Most of their time is spent cruising over rocks and glass, scraping off algae like little janitors.

In terms of personality, they are very mellow and keep to themselves, causing no trouble for their tank mates. Since they are nocturnal, you’ll mostly see them doing their thing after the lights go out, quietly maintaining your tank's cleanliness without making a fuss. Just ensure your setup includes plenty of rock surfaces and stable water conditions, and they will happily fulfill their role without requiring much in return.

Shipping at $50 will scare people away. Have you considered UPS 2 day air (they’re likely under $20)? Those snails should be fine in the shipping for 2 days unless the weather is extreme.

Honestly, most customers understand the costs associated with priority overnight shipping. I wish I could provide discounts on shipping... At the rate FedEx is going, we may as well open a shipping company lol!!!!!

I’ve never tried 2-Day Air because I’m concerned about the animals' well-being while in transit. However, if you’re willing to be my “guinea pig” for this shipping method, I would be open to it!
