Thanks! It’s a work in progress that’s for sure!

As for the star scream...... bite the bullet! If it ever becomes a Colony it will rival any other top end tenuis on the market but for now it’s only a bluish blob

Thank you! I’m pretty sure I they are 10” off the tank. I run a very similar setting to the YouTube video that world wide corals posted on BRS

So good and bad news today!

I have to leave to go on a prolonged work trip today. I will be doing disaster clean up in northern Florida in the wake of the hurricane. Work is always good but it also means I will not be here to maintain my tank for an undefined amount of time.

I hired a company to do maintenance twice a week on the tank but to be honest I do not have much confidence in them. The tank is simple but when someone is unfamiliar with a tank small details are missed. I’m nervous but there is nothing I can do! Hopefully I have a thriving tank to come home to but who knows.

I hope that’s the case. My brother left his fish only system for a month and lost quite a few fish. Let’s see how it goes

Well I’ve been gone for 12 days and since I’ve left my ato has been a nightmare. It hasn’t been topping off the tank. So someone has been going to my house daily to top off the tank all last week. I ordered a new top off which arrived yesterday afternoon.

This morning I get a alert on my apex.....
salinity dropped 30, ph sky rocketed 8.7, orp plummeted 200. I immediately call my brother telling him to go to my house. My ato went from not topping off at all to dumping my entire reservoir of kalk saturated rodi water into the tank.

Idk if it nuked the tank but let’s just say I’m pretty stressed at this point.

Yea I know. I’m getting 40gallon changed now. It dumped everything in at 4am so I’m hoping for the best.

Idk it’s looking till at least after thanksgiving

Ouch. I hope you have an able tank sitter. I assume so being gone that long. Sorry to hear.
