Hi everyone, I have decided to come out in the open. My name is Slapshot. I have been in the aquarium hobby for 40 years now and saltwater for 23. below is my reef. It has been up and running for 5 years now. Currently I am enjoying the non-photsynthetic side of the hobby. My tank is a inwall 150, it is connected to a number of sumps with 300 gallons of water bring the total system to 450 gallons. It is controlled by a Neptune jr with everything automated except the water changes. Those are done by just turning two valves.

Flow is by a Tunze wavebox (good luck finding it) and a Kor 6 and 4. Plus my bluewave 70 return pump. The sumps and pump are located in the basement. The tank is actually in a temperature controlled closet in the garage with the front glass into the family room. It has 6 separate pillars with one main front pillar in the center. The center rock was a 90 Lbs. piece of lace rock. The rest are your standard LR.

The tank is stocked with a school of 6 bartletts,a Flame Hawk, a Powder Blue tang, A leopard wrasses, a Malarious wrasse, a 3 foot Zebra Moray, a 2 1/2 foot snowflake, a red goby, a Fox face, a harlequin tusk, two breeding pairs of clowns a Maroon pair and a Perk pair and a few cleaner gobys. Corals are too many to name. I also have several invertebrates mainly a red serpent star, cleaner shrimp and a yellow Feather Star.

I auto feed the fish 3 times a day and the NPS 8 times a day. The tank is a custom, 24 inches deep 48 inches wide and 32 inches high. Below is a picture of my reef: I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Thank you all. The tank was vote Tank of the Month on another forum (not sure if I can name it). I have heard about you guys over here, and have been checking it out for awhile. Have a great evening.

Your tank is amazing and very different from what I am used to seeing. Is that a basket star, and if so, how long have you had it. Welcome!

The business end:

A Super Feeder tied to my neptune. Now I can feed as many times a day as I want or manually from any computer. This is by far the best feeder on the market. Fish Feeder Automatic Fish Feeder Automatic Pond Fish Feeder Automatic Aquarium Fish Feeder.

Does anyone, except my wife, think it is a problem when the filter ends up twice the size as the aquarium and take two pictures to fit it all in? Have I gone too far? the only thing you can't see is my 100 gallon sump filled with Cheato.
