So I have a branching hammer and a blue tip torch that I have had around 2 month or so give or take. The hammer about 2 weeks longer than the torch. But anyways my torch is splitting I confirmed that the other day on here but after further investigation lastnight of sitting in front of my tank and staring at it like a watch dog I noticed my branching hammer who had 2 heads to start. One of his mouths pinched and formed 2 separate mouths! I took a video but it is kind of of blurry and I have a cheap phone but if you can tell a mouth from a tentacle you will be able to see in the video I tried my best I hope you guys can see it and the video! I'm so excited! I was going downhill as I'm fighting cyano really bad right now and thought my tank was doomed but seeing my corals split gives me a little bit of hope to keep pushing through!!! Added a few videos and pics IMG_20220807_165539.jpg IMG_20220807_165538.jpg IMG_20220807_165539.jpg IMG_20220807_165538.jpg IMG_20220807_165514.jpg

Awesome! That's what fuels the addiction! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes: If you are for sure battling cyano, get some Chemiclean and call it a day! Use per the directions, and it will be gone in a couple days.

The product you want is called chemiclean. Not chemi pure. Two seperate products. You will need an air pump and air stone for your fish, as it reduces oxygen.

This only works for one strand of cyano. Before going into a huge scale dosing, take a cup and put some of the cyano in the cup. Then dose chemiclean, if the cyano dies then you have the right thing but if it doesn’t then you may not have a cure outside of just letting it pass through and get taken over.

I have had it work on green and red cyano. I don't know the products limitations, but it always works for me.

I have tried it with cyano in the past and it didn’t work. Through later research I found it only works with a specific strand of red cyano.

Use chemiclean with caution because even though you may see cyano results, you open the door for much bigger problems if it bottoms out nutrients.

Algae barn, Saltwateraquarium, Ebay, BRS, probably Amazon too have Pods. You can also culture your own pods. For me, I try and buy from local reefers for a couple of reasons.
1. Quality and Quantity of product is usually better from local reefers
2. They care much more about the product they sell then some big name store.
3. Hobby is expensive, support each other so we can to keep this hobby going.

And that's what I was saying I found a guy through someone else here on reef2reef who culture his own pods has been since 2005 I think he said. And he will send 2 bottles for 40$ with thousands of pods in each when other places want way more money and don't have as much pods
