I did a full 40b build with a trigger sump, RO skimmer, kessils, ato, wavemakers, everything for under $800. It took awhile scouring Craigslist and calling LFS’s but I got it done. If your ordering stuff online new then you’d need more $$ obviously for my smaller tank setup for sure. Some people aren’t willing to buy used so idk, very broad question.
