I’ve been reefing for 20 years now and just got addicted to sps again 18 months ago. I never had any struggles until I started trying to chase specific nutrient ranges. I’ve also talked to many vendors and none of them try to keep their po4 levels ultra low. So I stopped worrying about it and all acros started surviving and growing.Love the way your tenuis look. But never let your levels swing too much.
Your tank philosophy is great. Congrats. Where did you read about Master advices about nutrient levels and rest of stuff you mention?
I would love to read more good advices like the ones about higher nutrient availability
Again
Congrats.
Any reasons why you are dosing kz flatworm stop? Are you doing the recommend dose and daily?I also only feed frozen mysis, a little rods and cyclopeez
I use reefpro complete A and B
I dose kz flatworm stop for coral growth, color and PE. I’ve never had aefw or any pest for that matter.
And I dose a couple drops of zeo food
I’m dosing flatworm stop solely because it speeds up coral encrustations, growth and coloration. This is a trick I was told by the guys at BRS, Claudia Steele when she was with reefers Direct now tsa and dan from TCK. I do not have or ever had aefw. I just use it as a growth and color supplement.Any reasons why you are dosing kz flatworm stop? Are you doing the recommend dose and daily?
Nice looking acros!
Do you combine it with the coral booster? Are dosing on a pump? Thank you for the tipI’m dosing flatworm stop solely because it speeds up coral encrustations, growth and coloration. I have it on a doser at the recommended dosage. I was using the coral booster awhile back but ran out and never bought anymore. Coral booster makes the polyps bloated, which stopped when I stopped dosing it. I didn’t notice it do anything else other than that.Do you combine it with the coral booster? Are dosing on a pump? I’d like to add that the flatworm stop and coral booster can be very expensive for larger tanks. I’ve been using for 6 months and some acropora grow extremely fast and some have done almost less than nothing. I don’t think this is some magical acropora elixir. I believe the majority of my recent success comes from higher than the normal preached no3/po4 values and an extended peak photoperiod.Do you combine it with the coral booster? Are dosing on a pump? Thank you for the tip
I run 2 hydra 52 HD’s 16” above my 50 gallon cube. AB+ with more red and green and a little less white
500-325 par spread throughout the entire tankDang, two hydra52HD? That’s a lot of light!
