Something on favia

I have had this favia for a while now and it was doing great until this
I assume its dying or dead. It looks like a spider made a web on top of it.

Hard to tell from pic, but if it’s slimy it could be from stress. Did anything agitate it recently? How’s your parameters?

I honestly dont test but watch my corals. Something was bugging them this week. I did a major clean on the tank and forgot to change the sock so I think that was it . Nitrates probably elevated with algae in the sock decaying.
Guess I'll try and clean it off and see what happens
