Have a redsea 250 system with stock sump. I have been pretty creative at making the stock sump work.

I hate red seas sock, cup and the dang plastic that holds it. Everything is a fraction under size to force you to buy from them. Greedy company.

Anyway I cut out the old plastic sock holder been using it with standard 4" socks for awhile.

But now I'm installing a fleece roller. I removed the plastic sock holder entirely as plugging the undersized hole is a pain.

I cut some acrylic and drilled. Everything is fitting but I have a gap. At the end of the sock holder where you slide it out. There is a 1/8 gap that let's the water bypass the fleece roller

Does anyone know of anything that I can use to block this gap but be removable as in not permanent?

Trying to think of something with play dough type texture but reef safe.

You could try some poly filter folded up so it was more solid and could be pressed into the area.

When compacted it becomes solid and won't allow water to get through.

I’m using a piece of acrylic and just glued 2 other pieces so can slide the acrylic up and down so it can slow or speed up the flow
