Hello,

This might be a bit out of the norm here, because I have a critter Id like IDed from a freshwater tank.

I keep a black worm tank with moss and plants but no other livestock (to my knowledge) but my son noticed a tiny almost insect looking creature in the tank todays I yanked it and tried to get a good photo/video.

If it’s an insect larvae it’s fully aquatic. And just now sitting by the tank I can see other similar creatures on the glass and free swimming. There aren’t many. Can copepods survive in freshwater?

In the video there is a small squiggling line, this is just a baby worm or worm segment. The one I’m interested in is the darting, jerking movement to the bottom right of the frame. Appreciate any guidance, thanks!
