LOL, yeah that was the one I was going on and on about Friday night. BTW, those chalices are doing and looking great! I have some nice stuff set aside for you whenever you want to stop by. You can also check out the new frag tank and ATI fixture. :D

nice piece sonny..... i scored a large colony of this, 8"tall from my lfs that was a browned out, almost dead coral....now it is one on the brightest things in my tank lol....yesterday i was checking mine out and it had a polyp on the top that looked similiar to a feather duster but it was like a perfect wall ball of just tiny fine white hairs it was really cool!!!! not sure if a creture is living in it or is that the normal look when then polpys are out???

Amazing looking tank :D One question on the Vodka and MB7 dosing. Are these dose at the same time or does it matter? TIA

Hello and thank you. :D

I dose MB7/Vodka daily. Here is a breakdown of my dosing schedule:

Daily
CA: 110ML
ALK: 110ML
Strontium: 1 Teaspoon
Lugols: 1 drop
MB7: 14 drops
Vodka(80 proof): 2ml

Weekly
MG: 110ML
AA's: 6 drops(twice a week)

Monthly
30gl Water change Reef Crystals
Carbon replaced (3-4 cups in a mesh bag)

More info on my site: Updated dosing list... - Rimless Reef

For PO3 media I use : 1.75 pound (453 Grams) Bulk GFO "High Capacity" Ferric Oxide - English

I keep my skimmer on 24/7. When dowsing bacteria/carbon source it is very important that you keep your skimmer on at all times. When bacteria multiply they quickly absorb oxygen so you will need to keep the skimmer on.

Well I chopped up my reef quite a bit recently. I was bored with my tank so I did some major chopping and rescaping. Most of the corals are now pretty small but it will be fun to watch it all grow back. At least until the new tank is setup. :D :D

New chalice. (thanks Marvin!)

The polyps finally opened on this guy but the pic is kinda washed out. The base is more purple in person and the colors are much more intense.
