This is the best picture I can get because my bosses tank is one of those old corner tanks that have curved glass.

This coral has been looking whiter as time goes by. It is about 18" away from his Kessil LED Lighting Panel. I am worried it is getting bleached but I am not sure. I have no reference with this coral since it is the first time we had it in the tank.

When should I be worried?

From what I understand, Cyphastrea likes low light. Might be getting too much there. Maybe try moving it down and off to the side and see how that works. Maybe over here somewhere;

Other than that I’m not sure.

My boss is stubborn and thinks I am overreacting. =)

I was going to suggest cutting back on the white light first but I need to "calm down."

I'm the only one who maintains the tank. lol.

If the other corals are happy, I'd just move the cyphastrea instead of lowering the lights. No need to upset everyone for the benefit of one coral

So move it when he isn’t looking. Will he even notice? If it’s his money, let it all die and maybe he will get frustrated and let you take the tank home haha

I wouldn't mess with the lights, just move the frag lower.

He would notice. I bought some corals for his tank. A blasty, an orange mushroom and I brought in a goblin galexea from my tank at home. Oh ya that Hammer coral I bought as well.

Plus I don't have room for a tank like that at my house. I only have a small 13 gallon desktop tank. His is a 90 gallon monster.

I would suggest not putting any of your own money into your boss’s tank if he isn’t reimbursing you, or at least giving you full control over what happens with the tank. Just my personal opinion though. Not sure what else to tell yah though. Is there some actual work you should be doing? Maybe your boss is annoyed that your focused on the tank and not work. I don’t know what kind of dynamic y’all got going on there so idk.

I do all maintenance in the early morning. He could be annoyed but if I didn't do water changes nobody would.

Update. My boss let me move it when I won an argument via third party. He still thought it looked green but I insisted it was white and getting whiter. Someone walked by and I asked, "what color is that?" They responded, "white and brown?"

He let me move it. I moved it into the shade about 4 incvhes lower and it takes a little less flow than it was getting. Hopefully in a month or so it turns around and gets back it's color.

I messed up and posted the same image again. Sorry.
