Reviving an old thread.I keep mine near the sand bed, slightly elevated on flat piece of rock. It is in a shadier part of the tank with par around 100. I spot feed it weekly along with the rest of my LPS. And yes, it has long sweepers, so keep it away from other corals.
I would consider it pretty easy to keep as LPS corals go.![]()
No, I don't have any problem with sand on the coral, I would not worry about that. Mine has been on the sand bed for over four years and has grown from a frag into this thing. I stopped spot feeding mine years ago and it kept growing. It has been easy.Reviving an old thread.
Do you ever have issues with sand/substrate irritating the coral? I have a sandsifting goby that will inevitably dump some sand on it. I can clean it once a week or so but I’m worried about it dying quickly if that happens.
