I just picked up these 2 small colonies today. When i dipped them i found a zoa spider and 1 spider egg. Now I'm freaked out about what I might be missing .... anyone see anything else I should be worried about?

Do you have a quarantine setup by chance? If not, could you set one up?

For Zoas, it can be super simple..
  • Basic light
  • Salt water @ correct salinity
  • Airstone or small power head
  • Heater
I have never had zoa spiders before but from what I hear they are a pain to get rid of.. having this battle in a QT tank is much better than in the display. I'd recommend weekly dips for 4-6 weeks to ensure all eggs have hatched and all babies and adults have been removed before adding these guys to the main display.

Here is a good resource to get you started on what types of dips and about the spiders themselves.

Looks like there's some vermetid snails on the plugs too. Might want to pop those off so they don't invest your tank and irritate nearby corals.

Do a dip. Get rid of the drag plug. It’s full of vermatid snail anyway. Cut and glue individual polyp , you don’t have that many. And you’ll be safe. You get to inspect each of them in due process.
All those frag plugs are nasty source of pest and hair algae , particularly the base where the corals attach the plug
