These started about 3 days ago. Is this a shedding event or something different. It's the first time I have seen it so this.

Hi! That’s a flatworm infestation. I would use Flatworm exit immediately and use a syringe without a needle or turkey baster to suck out as many as you can. That doesn’t look like the type that will actually eat your coral, but they do host the coral and irritate it so I would remove. Getting a wrasse will also help you by providing a natural predator to the flatworms
