Anyone know any animals that will eat sponges?

I have clams, sps, lps, small inverts.

Here is a list I compiled and have posted on some other threads:

A few predator examples:
- Marine angelfish
- Moorish idols
- Some starfish
- Some nudibranchs, definitely not a good option due to their specificity
- Sea turtles... good luck getting one of those

Why would you like to get rid of sponges, though?

I have a few species of sponges that have become rather invasive to the rest of the tank. A black sponge and tan/rust colored sponge have started overtaking clams and some lps. I love sponges usually. These are a tad extreme though. In 10 years, I’ve never seen anything. Like it

What sort of LPS have you got?

The more reef safe Angels rarely touch clams, Infact I don’t know of many angels that go for a decent sized Tridacna. The more Reef Safe Angels tend to go for fleshier LPS more than anything else IME, Regals are the best option as they don’t touch most coral - Zoas, Scolys and Acans are often wiped out though.

I have a 3 inch maxima.

I can move my acans to my frag tank. Duncan, blatos, Acanthophyllia
Duncan’s and Blastos shouldn’t be hit by a regal however Acanthos I’m unsure about.
