Sponges causing trouble

Well I bit the bullet & have started removing the rocks & removing the sponge.
Man that crap is tough like leather.
The holdfasts really can be tough to get off, even with a hemostat & they bury deep into the rock.
Scraped & pulled then scrubbed with a toothbrush. Started a week ago & have 4-5 pieces left.
Big tanks are nice ,except when something goes amiss.
