Is that about 9hrs on with about a 30min ramp up and down for 7.5hrs at 55%?

Might need to go longer on the lighting schedule? I run 12hr day with about 10hrs at peak Maybe others can chime in on total light time with time at peak.

It's on from 12 till till 10 with a hour ramp on either side.

Sometimes it's hard taking advice on these threads but that's the nature of the internet, lol.

I run 1 up/down 8 at peak and have been for a long time on all my systems, 3 current.
Have not found the need for more.
Example. My old 18" nano cube day one to 10 months. 8 hrs peak running 2 16hds.

This is a stick of Marvin the Martian that looked good on my frag rack for two weeks but when I moved it into this spot it started whiting out on the bottom while having PE on the top. This spot on the tank would be in the ~300 par range so I know it's not the par.

Would this just be it reacting to the new location?

I ran my hannah checker last night and got .26 for the phosphates - still going to continue dialing that back slowly targeting ~.1 PO4 but wouldn't want to rush it.

One thing about acros is they will sometimes show they are upset a week later, so it could potential be something overall and not just that particular spot. Quick question, are you checking the parameters of the tank/bag the acro is coming in? Not just alk, nutrients, but salinity temp etc?

I didn't test the bag - I float all new arrivals for ~15 minutes and then put em on the frag rack.

Maybe there's a difference in alk/salinity between shipping bag and tank causing some stress and the symptoms aren't showing up for a week or so? Just a thought. Also whats your salinity at and when's the last time you calibrated the instrument, i scrolled through the posts again and didn't see sg mentioned.

Could be reacting to the change in PAR or the high phosphates. I placed a pink caddy and a bc aquatic man next to each other a few weeks ago. Both came from the same guy and high PAR. The pink caddy showed some base recession but is now coloring back up. Aquatic man never skipped a beat. Sometime you never know.
