Sps and Toadstool Leather

I spoke with a buddy lately that told me sps and leathers don't play well. Anybody have any experience?
 
No issue at all unless they are too close and stinging each other. Just give the softies a space for expansion and you should be fine. GAC will helps on chemical wars but maybe it just a myth. I do have small bags of charcoal by the way.
 
I think the general perception is that some soft corals (possibly toadstool) produce toxins that inhibit growth in other corals.
Sps might grow less, but I also read that activated carbon is a good way to filter the toxins out.
But I'm not a scientist, so this might be totally unscientific.

Yup pretty much, not a scientist either.
