I know some species, like yellow clown gobies, are notorious for eating sps coral but have also heard that other species, like the warpaint clown gobies (see pic), usually don't have this issue.

Please list what kind of clown goby you have/had, whether or not it ate SPS, how long you had it, and describe your general experience with it.

Thanks!

I have a pair of yellow clown gobies that have never done any damage to my sps colonies. Do keep in mind though; they may rub against, eat the outer slime coating of sps. They do lay eggs but usually under the sps where it won’t matter. All in all, if you have larger colonies, you do not need to worry because they do protect and clean the sps of debris without doing harm. I would only worry if you have a small colony(less than a few inches) since it could irritate the coral.
