My question is this, i was told it needs lots of light, duh ik that part BUT i was told NOT to blast it with high flow, is this true? i always thought the opp?:cwm21:

As much as you all schooled me on flow, I know what theyre referring to here. They mean turbulent, indirect flow. That means either give the powerhead some distance between it and the coral, or rikochet it off of a wall if possible. If the PH is directed right at the coral at a closeish range, it wont like it.

i was told to put my ponape birdnest in the lower 1/3 of the tank, due to the fact that they dont like HIGH light. im not sure about green polyp birdnest. i have my ponape in rather random flow, but like stated earlier, it is of high flow too.

high flow means the high flow. just not direct flow. with your koralias, you dont get direct flow. point them a bit off center to the birdnest.

also, high light means, put the birdnest up high.

Very cool. You may want to keep them in the top area of the tank though. How much MH wattage do you have on what sized tank? BTW, they look really great now.

Edit: Are you sure thats a birdsnest? Thats got an odd growth pattern
