SPS recommendation

Hi all;
Pretty new to buying/growing SPS. I have one encrusting Montipora which I got from WWC and its been thriving which is to the right of this shot.

I was looking for some suggestions for some SPS to put on the top ledge above my BTA, time to get some sticks but not will grow too tall. Its about 4" from the water level. This is in a fluval 13.5 gal with a AI Prime HD 16 (single) powering the tank which is 10" from the surface. I feel this area would be good for SPS as its a high flow area. Water parameters in this tank are excellent as I do 1/2 gallon water changes automatically ... tied into my mixing station w/versa pumps.

Suggestions welcome!

Hello,

My best suggestion is tank grown frags, and avoid ocean frags, they are much more sensitive. I would also try sps just from the lfs. They are probably a lot cheaper, you can see the health as well. Most of the time the frags are much larger than the nubs you get from online.

Stylophora and/or montipora digitata would be good choices. Picked these two up at my lfs the other day for 15 a piece. Green and purple stylophora. You can frag them when they get taller.

Thanks... I had loaded up a lot of everyone's suggestions but will wait a little while longer before pulling the trigger! By BTA are on the move right now...want to see where they end up.
