Taking a road trip to St. Louis in a few weeks. The area I'm from doesn't have any large, saltwater specific shops. So figured I'd peel of on the last day and see if I can find any cool "souvenirs" I can take home.

Mainly looking for frags of LPS and softies, maybe some rock nems and possibly a wrasse of some kind.

Anyone here from the area that can recommend? STL Aquatics was the first hit on Google.

Thanks in advance. Don't tell my wife

I got some big colony pieces and torches if you want to swing on the house by haha. If you only want to visit stores, my list in order of my (personal) fav's: Liberty Reef, Seascape / corals and more, Marine solutions / STL Aquatics, and finally Corner Reef

Thank you! And thanks for the offer. Nothing against you at all, but going to a random person's house in St. Louis, that I met online, to buy coral will be a hard sell with the family in tow :)

I'll try and hit a few of those while in town. Thanks again

Understandable! Hope you find some cool coral while in town!!

I went to school there in the early nineties, if the weather is good hit the zoo. It’s really nice and free thanks to the taxpayers.

Zoo, aquarium (obviously), city museum and Arch are all on the list!
I got dragged up that arch so many times by people who were visiting. Everyone wanted to go up there!

If you have young kids, the city museum is a hoot. We were there when it was relatively new over 20 years ago. My kids were about 5 and started climbing up into the 3D maze they had. One of the workers came over with a big smile and said, "Dad, if they are under 7 you have to go with them". We spent 3 hours just climbing through all the stuff they had cobbled together. Looked out a split in a hollow log we were climbing through only to see we were 20 feet off the ground!
