Stands from amazon?

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with these sort of tanks that pop up on amazon. I'm looking to get a 75g and I wanna make sure the weight won't be a problem. It shouldn't weigh more than 1000lbs with everything included? They all claim they can support it (pictures of the tank with a 1000-1200 lb weight symbol on them) but...I have doubts for obvious reasons.

So if anyone here has tried these types of stands and had success (or failure!) please let me know!

I got one like those from Amazon and had to return it due to the dimensions they listed on the page being wrong.

I have one similar to the first one, minus the drawers. Stability is fine for my 40 breeder but not sure about a 75. Also the minute water touches the particle board it will warp.

How long have you had it? Have you noticed any bending or weakness?

This might be a stupid question but is there no good way to apply some sort of paint or finish to particleboard to make it more water resistant?

Have had it up for a little over a year now. No bending of anything but the top warped slightly due to water at the door.

I'm sure you could apply some clear sealant prior to putting a tank on it, just paint it on.
