Recieved yesterday. Hour float in bag and then long 6 hour drip acclimation. First attempt at a starfish and I knew it was a long shot to begin with but thought I would ask. The starfish seemed to be expelling itself upon arrival and now have noticed some whitening on the tip of 2 legs. The starfish didn't move at all out of th bag and I'm wondering if it came dead or if anyone has observed this and yet it recovered. Debating on removing or waiting it out until I observe mushiness.

When the tips start turning white it's typically a sign of starvation. Blue Linckia stars have a diet of film algae, sponges, and bacteria. Very difficult to replicate in all but the largest, well established tanks. They're really best left in the ocean. If you like starfish, a brittle star would be a much better choice.
