I wonder if a larger WC (even 100%) after peroxide and trimming would kick it all back enough to stay down? And oooo a new tank???? What kind of new tank are you looking at?

looking at deals...

Always a dangerous thing to be doing ;Smuggrin

And I wouldn't worry about dinos so much, the massive die off from the Algae should keep the nutrients up...

We are getting there...

Looking good!

I'm surprised that the Algae got that bad with the blennys in there. They are usually pretty good with GHA

I’m still hoping some locals got new tanks to upgrade so maybe I’ll see some deals. Though I wish I could just bite the bullet and buy a new system but I decided to wait it out and be generous to other people hoping some of that good karma will result in finding a good deal. I’m not trying to upgrade the 36 to anything massive though. Looking in the 50-75 gallon range. We are in a manufactured home, it was built in 2008 so I know it’s strong, but I still worry about weight distribution. Told the other half when we sell it and move, the next house needs to be on a slab so I can have a massive monster tank lol!

75ish would give you a ton more options livestock wise, but definitely still comfortable in any home. It also still has the advantage of being relatively easy to move when needed, waiting is never a bad thing. Helps teach patience which can be critical in the hobby.

I'm not much of a monster tank fan myself, I love my 125 and the only thing I would've done differently is go a touch longer to 6'. But the wife said if I did that it would have to go into the basement and I wasn't cool with that lol
