Yes I've had rodi water feeding it for almost two years with no lights, all I have at the moment is API for test kit looking in to others, I have a 30 gallon refugium with skimmer,just did a 20 gal. water change last week and just did a 50 gal. change today, still have high nitrate around 80 to 160
Add a pouch of chemipure blue or elite. Will help bring down the nitrates and keep them in check
