Hey guys and gals, I have been a member here for a bit now and have been wanting to post my tank but only recently learned how to post pics. Let me start off by listing the rig and equipment I am using, what I started off with and where I am now. I have a beautiful 46G 22" cube made by what I would consider to be the best tank manufacturer (Reefsavvy)

This is the tank upon completion of the build before bringing it home

The quality of these tanks is second to none, the lines and silicon work is just perfect. My only regret is not having gone bigger

Had the back of the tank drilled as I decided to have the tank against a corner. Went with a overflow box by glass-holes.com and used a couple of penductors to increase flow.

I had the stand custom built but never took into consideration just how small the opening for the stand would be and if I would ever do it again I would include side doors.

I forgot to mention that the tank is made of low iron starphire glass on the front and both sides. The back is blacked out using nylon.

I decided to use these magic sliders that I purchased at HD to make moving the tank easier.

The finished product

While they do work, when I go to start up my next build (which is currently in the planning stages) I feel I will go with heavy duty wheels as the sliders made moving the tank easier but not as easy as I would have liked.

I decided to go with this styrofoam to place under the tank for leveling

003.jpg

and here we are cut to size

009.jpg

And here are a few pics of the tank sitting upon it's new home upon arrival

Sorry for not completing all the posts but its late and I'm tired. Will post more tomorrow

Heres a pic of my daughter in the tank for no other reason than you can never start up a tank without taking a pic of one of your kids or your entire family (if big enough) inside the tank.

IMG_8805.jpg

and the obligatory pic of the packages at the door

Decided to go with a Tunze 6055 controllable pump for added flow. I just love Tunze. They are sooo quiet and dependable

I love opening boxes. It makes me feel like a kid in a candy store

Zoom forward a few days and more packages. Got my lights and my hob refugium....

044.jpg

I went with the Current Nova extreme pro 20" 108 watt T-5 fixture

045.jpg

047.jpg

048.jpg

049.jpg

050.jpg

Its a 2 stage light fixture. Here is the 1st stage with only 2 actinics

052.jpg

and here it is with all the lights on

053.jpg

They are really bright but I was not thrilled with the color as it's a bit too white. Decided to send out for new lights to give it more of a 15k look instead of the stock 10k.

Sorry guys but its Heat time. Will try and post more after the game

Sweet tank! Reef Savvy makes amazing tanks! I've got a 45g cube (not from reef savvy) and I love it! Thats a nice light setup, I'm a big fan of T5's. ATI make's great bulbs. I'd get at least 1 bulb of the purple plus. It'll make your pinks, reds, and purples really stand out. Keep the pic's coming!

When to mix up fish meal: When was the last time you tried a different brand of food for your reef?
