At the bases of my sps the tissue is disapearing. Most of the corals have decent PE. It is a minimally stocked tank so I assume nitrates aren't the problem. Any ideas?

Params please.... Also need to know whats holding your alk stable? It's one of 2 things a alk swing or aefw check for the worms also if you haven't....:(

Lol I thought of this thread when I was just on the phone with you haha..... If there established colonies and have been in the tank I wouldn't suspect flow if there new or wild etc it very well could be a flow issue..... Good point...1smile1

How big are the corals a pic would help even just for size reference, if they are large colonies it could be the bases have been shaded for to long and that is the cause but params, pics and more info will help us help you

Tissue loss, among SPS, from the bottom up, is usually caused by flow/lighting/or low or extremely high Alk.

They are frags that I had to move around when re-aquascaping. I bet it is flow related. I will try to get nitrates and phosphates tested.

If you were moving rocks around it could all sorts of good things released from the sand bed etc not just n03 and po4
