Stocking Suggestions

Hey, Just ordered a 120 aqua Japan pro and would like some suggestions on stocking the tank.
I currently have a 60 y’all with a blue damsel, srgt major damsel, a lightening maroon clownfish and a sleeper banded goby that I will be transferring into the 120 once it’s up and running.
On the wish list is a mandarin goby and a purple or yellow tang.
can anyone else help me out with some suggestions?

This is not a fowlr tank, it will contain both lps and sps corals, with a few acros to top it off.

I would rec that you not put the damsels, especially the srgt major, and the maroon clown fish in your new tank. These fishes are not good community fish. I am not sure that I would want your other fishes in my dream tank either, but to each his own.
You got to give us idea as to what you like, then we can give you suggestion as to if some of the list would fit with the rest of the fish.
It this is me, I start with all new fish. Two Regal angels first. Two Flame Angels, A bunch of wrasse Flasher and Fairy, a male Mandarin, and both Yellow and Purple tangs.

Was worried about this with the sgt major and might give him up, but I feel like I’ve seen plenty of clownfish in community tanks. Is it the maroon designation that has you worried?
If not then why do you say they’re not community friendly?

Maroon clownfish is the largest and meanest of the clownfishes

Mayby some hermit crabs, snails :)

Mystery wrasse is an aggressive wrasse and will prevent you from adding more docile wrasse and other fish.

@OrionN I just set up a 20G nano with 2 mocha storms and a mystery wrasse. My final fish is going to be a blue spotted jawfish.

Thoughts?

20 gal is a good size for a pair of Ocellaris clown and one or two odd and end
small fish that you like. Blue-spotted Jawfish does fit this. However, a Mystery wrasse is too large of a fish for 20 gal and also too aggressive.
I think Blue-spotted Jawfish, from Pacific Mexico (Gulf of California) require lower temperature than a normal reef.
Try a pair of jawfish, either the Yellow head, or Blue spotted, or some shrimp goby with shrimp

Thanks. I specifically am keeping this tank at 75F to accommodate the blue jaw spotfish because of this. I'll keep the mystery wrasse in here until I cycle up my 220G. Right now he's 2 inches.
