Have you tried an emerald crab? They devoure bubble algae
Not yet brother, I am sort of taking the long and steady approach. I am 80% free, by just scraping and brushing and siphoning. No big deal, it is something that I have seen in nearly EVERY acro system, including mine. I had bad luck with emeralds picking polyps off corals instead of bubble. I guess it depends on the system and what they are available to eat on. Never had luck personally. I have just always used the elbow grease approach, lol...
Bubble persisting while corraline dies, tells me what I need to know about the source contamination. That said, like a garden, all plants are there for a reason, even weeds, or at least what we have been indoctrinated into believing are weeds, lol. They pull certain contaminants, or condition, or even pull heavy metals, so when they are present, typically it is for a reason. Applying the same sort of logic here, and have watched the transition of algae and the stages, seems like the course is on track. That said, when I hit the year mark, the acros will probably start to go bezerk. Either way, I am stoked to see this tank doing so well, these nanos can be super challenging.
All the best Jesse~
