These keep coming up on my rock. I am not sure what they are and if they are harmful to my coral? Any help would be appreciated.

If possible, pull out that rock and chisel off the hydroids.
If there are patches all over, then do a search for colonial hydroid treatment.
They sometimes go away on their own but can also become a problem, so nipping in the bud is a good idea.

These can and may sting and also multiply. Best way to stop them is to direct water flow towards them- NOT at them so that they cannot capture food and will eventually starve.
