Strings on BTA foot

Seems my BTA finally found a weird, but suitable place to live. Opens nicely during the day, retracts every night until morning lights come back on. Doesn’t ever bubble up, likes it’s wavy arms. While watching it today, I noticed a couple strings on the foot. Did it injure itself, or is this normal? It initially hid in a rock for the first few days, and don’t want to stress it if it is avoidable.

Thats a nice anemone. Does it look like mucus (hard to tell) - assuming I'm looking at the same thing. Could it be a new anemone forming - any way to get a better picture (with more light)?

Looks fine to me. Love how it’s just hanging out on that ledge. Injuries don’t usually appear as “threads”. Also it is usually pretty obvious when a nem is not feeling good. The fact that it is staying put, out in the open, and fully extending and enjoying the current all signal to me that it is just fine and healthy.

It did pick a neat spot. Retracts nightly, and just sticks itself back out everyday. Nice and visible. Couldn’t have asked for it to find a better place.

That’s typical behavior. They shrink they wilt they move they inflate they deflate and generally cause all sorts of apprehension for their owners lol.

I am learning quickly that it gets enjoyment out of raising my blood pressure.

Looking at the picture - I see what you mean - it looks like 'mucus' - and since the anemone looks 'good' - I wouldn't bother it.
