Stringy brown diatoms. How to remove silicates without removing po4

Amino acids are a fine way to add nitrogen.
Oh so nëonitro removes the necessity? I've been doing blackouts, nëophos, nëonitro, microbacter⁷ and now silica to keep dinos away. And they keep pushing back with me having MUCH lowered lights, copapods, 15 nitrate, .1 phosphate and constantly manually removing dinos from socks, leaving skimmer off, or leaving lights off completely... idk what else I can do

Don’t think that is likely. At least those are not the normal diatom species folks get. There thousands to millions of diatom species, but without a microscopic one cannot say that they aren’t or are diatoms.

Many pests are a mix of species as well.
That's what I was thinking too, I do have a smaller 15 gallon tank that I could probably put all my corals in for a few days of total darkness while I dose the tank with N&P. should I do that approach? I can't add a UV since it voided my tanks warranty

Why move the corals? One needing dose N and P especially high if it is dinos.

They will be fine and not die?

Not from small doses of nitrate and phosphate.

Dead dinos or other pests might release some toxins, but it’s unusual to see deaths from that.

Here's what it looks like with the lights off, I have lots of green algae so I just need that to win the battle right?
