Need more information: tank size, how long established, water change schedule, light(s) type and schedule, better pics. From what I can see on my phone, it looks like GHA that's dying off, but the resolution is not good enough to be sure. Have you dosed the tank with anything lately?

Looks like some sort of hair algae in appearance but the color is definitely off.

Does it retract or move if touched? What about growth rate? Can you scrub it off with a toothbrush?

#reefsquad , got any other opinions?

Nope.. doesn't retract.

Lights used: radions xr30w (3 lights)
Aquarium: Red Sea Reefer 525xl (140 gal total vol)
Dosing: 2 part
Water changes: 10% 2 times a month
Lights schedule -- 80% for 7 hours, blue for 3 hours

This stuff looks like the time I started dosing nopox in my old tank. But I am not dosing anything else except for the 2 part now

My bryopsis turned that color before it dissolved away when I treated my tank with fluconazole, perhaps it's green hair algae that has been stripped of nutrients and it on it's way out? How are your corals and fish doing?

Corals are doing great..

Fish, not so much.. I think one of my fish (powder brown tang) contracted brooklynella..:( and another (bartletts anthias) I have no clue.. no obvious external signs, the fish was just lying on the sand bed and not moving too much with very heavy labored breathing
