So I messed up big time. I bought 2 fish from 1 place but at 2 very different salinities. Yellow Wrasse at 0.027 and a stripped blenny at 0.017. I called ahead and matched qt’s to their salinity. But, I mixed up the tanks and didn’t realize it until just now. They’ve already been in there an hr and appear fine. What would you do?!?

They should be fine. Just start gradually raising the salinity in the hypo tank, to where it needs to be, over the course of a couple of hours.

I wouldn't worry about a thing, sir! You should be fine. Just as long as you provide a stable salinity level and acclimate appropriately! Have a good evening.

Glad all seems to be well.

Separate qts matching their previous salinities probably seems ideal. What I probably would have done is put them both into 1.017 specific gravity. Fish can handle that drop just fine, in my experience.

did you float and drop? so the blenny went from 1.017 to 1.027 and is good to go? that's both awesome and interesting

Something to consider for next time. Thank you

I would learn that with fish salinity doesn't matter nearly as much as I thought.

Which is something I learned a long time ago.
