Stuck between a rock and a hard place need help

So here is the story i have tanks running. One Ghetto frag tank, and my new tank i just set up. (95g Zeo) My ghetto frag tank is looking VERY bad All of my chalices are looking Spikie and showing some recession (Just a few showing recession, but all spikie) I have tested all the parameters and everything checks out

Not to sure why they are unhappy, well it's gotten me to the point where im fearing to lose some have lost one already. So i was gonna transfer everything to a friends tank. Well unfortunately he just stuck in FL for a extended period of time and is not sure when he will be home. Now i have this new tank set up and it's on roughly day 7 of being up, used fully cured LR and all. But if your not familur with the zeo method is says wait till day 10 before butting in anything. What do you guys/girls think i should do.


Also just tested all the parameters of the new tank it all checks out.

I wouldn't sweat it personally using fully cured lr. I moved sps from my display to my new frag tank with in 48hrs of filling it and had no I'll effects... I used some rock from my display and about 10percent of the display water... Never had a cycle..

zeo is a very low nutrient method.

IME, chalice do well with some nutrients in the water...

I know many people who keep zeo and chalices. Pluse the problem is not happening in the zeo tank, its in the regular tank.

Im gonna test the zeo tank with a piece of sunset monti and a lower end chalice before i make the dive.

IDK if it's my imagination or what but it seems like after five minutes it has blown up a bit, is that posable for it to have a positive reaction already i was expecting a few hours or so for it to react.

very possible to see that fast of a reaction IME, especially with LPS ans zoas

i'd say your safe man, im old school and like to wait as long as I can but my friend has done it a few times with no ill effects. SPS might be more finicky to the change though.

So after a week still not looking better in the new tank. Most chalices still look fine but i noticed a tad bit more recession in three chalices also they still look spikie.

What kind of lighting are you running? Have you changed or checked your bulbs recently?

Also some of my corals have never looked better my scolly's and fungies.

Have you run a poly filter?

If not, I would put one in and run all of your water through it and change it out every day or two and see if things improve.
