I have a 55 I aquascaped the entire back wall with "great stuff" foam in a can. My only regret was I painted it brown and various tones of tan and sand color. It's about 6 years old now and I still love it. Holds up really well and makes putting frags a breeze since you can just push the plug right into the foam.
My only filtration on the 55 is a 30gallon fuge with LR a 4" sock and purigen. Been this way since day one with lights on fuge reversed for ph stability
It's a bit cluttered with the frag rack, trying to move some to the 400 and sell some but here's a few pics

I am now in the process of finalizing a 400 which I also made a faux wall using base rock and foam. I will have to dig for photos on the whole process. Here are some for now.

I like your decor. We had the same idea. Any issues using foam as far as chemicals leaching?

With the tank I just built I have not had any issues. I used great stuff the original version found at Home Depot, used silicone 100%, and the spray paints were the krylon fusion brand found at Walmart.
No noticeable leaching or any problems with inverts, fish etc. I haven't tested for heavy metals or anything out of the norm but by this time I would imagine I would have noticed something. My previous tank with the same decor but in a 55 has been running about 6 years and no issues, corals attach to the foam, plugs go into it very easy and the foam is still looking great.

Well done!
Was it expensive to built?
Mine was not cheap. I used $240 of epoxy alone. Sand was $10 and styrofoam was free for the most part but it can get expensive as well

In the 400 I used 4 sheets of the egg crate I think they go for 12-15$ each, 6 cans of great stuff at about 6$ a can, then pvc to make some caves etc and rocks as well as silicone to keep in place. Then spray paint fusion by krylon about 5$ a can. It was about a 100-125$ project

On my 55 it was like a 75$ project at best
