I thought it might be helpful to have a hashtag for each of the major controllers so that if members have a question about that controller or a topic that would interest users of a particular controller, they can use the hashtag to alert other members who use the same controller to those topics/questions.

All you need to so is click on the hashtag that corresponds to the controller you use, and then select "watch tag" in order to receive alerts when it's used anywhere on the forum. :)

NEPTUNE APEX USERS, subscribe to this hashtag: #apexusers

GHL PROFILUX USERS, subscribe to this hashtag: #ghlusers

DIGITAL AQUATICS REEF KEEPER & ARCHON USERS, subscribe to this hashtag: #dausers

REEF ANGEL USERS, subscribe to this hashtag: #reefangelusers

REEF-PI USERS, subscribe to #reefpi

AQUATRONICA USERS, subscribe to #aquatronica

CORALVUE HYDROS USERS, subscribe to #Hydros

Let me know if there are any other controllers that should be added.

Can someone tell me why the hashtag link does not work? It’s not highlighted

The hashtag subscription is an add-on to the software and it is not currently working since the site upgrade. The program is being written for the new site and will eventually be working again.

I was wondering the same thing!

Thank you for the feedback! :)

Are the existing hashtags working now when added to a message?

The hashtags will "work" but you will not receive a notification when someone uses a hashtag you are subscribed to. As an example, I can type #POTM and it will appear as a hashtag. But those subscribed to it won't be alerted as it once was. The alert function is what is being re-written for the new site.

But if you stumble on a hashtag, you can click it and it will show you where it has been used recently.

Thanks. I thought that the reef squad hashtag might not be working as intended so I’ve started using @ and screen names to include experts in an area when trying to find help for others. Obviously it is a balance between overuse and finding help for notable issues when you are alerting a specific individual in contrast to a general hashtag.
