We’re seeking some advice on a low flow coral for the back corner of our tank. We tried putting a devil’s hand there to add some height, but it was not happy. It’s under the filter outflow (not sure if there’s a special name for that lol!), so there’s not a whole heck of a lot of water movement in that corner. Since we don’t want everything to be in the front of the tank, we thought we’d ask if there’s anything we may be able to put there so when we roll over and look at it in bed, we still see a spectacular coral garden[emoji7]

Thoughts or suggestions? We’re not picky. Tank is mostly LPS and softie.

Like the chalice idea a lot!!

Mushrooms? Im not sure what the light is like there but my mushrooms prefer very little flow

It gets pretty decent light. Our AI puts off quite a bit during the day -especially the top portion of the tank.

I’d just put a little Jebao SOW-4 back there. Low flow areas aren’t great for your tank even if you can find a coral that will survive there.

While that’s a good thought, the water isn’t stagnant, just definitely meets the criterion of “low flow.” We have a Hydor above to create somewhat of a cross current with filter outflow (it was somewhere else in the tank, but was adjusted to provide more flow to our torch -which was in need of more movement). This created a pocket of low flow -not quite dead space, but low movement- in that corner.
