Suicidal hermit crab

He finally took the plunge. And lepted to his death last night.

This is where he has been the last two days I came home. I'd flick him back in the tank and then when he got a chance he would hitch a ride on the starfish I assume to the top again. I woke up this morning and found his shell here

Actually he's still alive I put his shell back in wrote this thread and went to look and he's alive.

I guess he's on suicide watch now.

I guess so. He needs some anti depressants. He should be happier. He went from a 55 to a 105 with more places to travel.

Put it on suicide watch and give it a little piece of algae.

He's got a bunch of new tank diatoms and algae. And not a lot of cuc to compete for food.

Maybe move a magfloat or magnet in his path?

I did and he can climb up the side of it by hanging onto the actually cleaning material.

I did to. Yesterday I was gone at work for a couple hours and my wife said he had been on the top of the rim of the tank for two hours just chillin. I asked my wife why she didn't push him in and she shrugged and said he looked comfortable.

I have a few hermits that do the same thing. They climb up dry out a little then eventually go back in the tank. Or ill flip them back in lol

lol! That's a first. Maybe it likes to go extreme. Attach a tiny parachute or bungee cord to it.

That or make a custom acrylic canopy for your tank. That might help. (It'll probably still find a way out. lol)
