sump confusion

So I have been looking at sumps and AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! WHAT do i need? there are so many!!!!
I want to work my up to a fully stocked fish and coral reef. WHAT do i need to be looking at for current and future needs? IM SO CONFUSED ON SUMPS. :faint:
 
What size tank? I recommend trigger systems sumps they really make quality sumps
 
Biggest sump you can afford ;)

I have a 40g sump for my 80g tank, and my father has a 55g sump for his 60g tank, and a buddy of mine has a 125g sump for his 300g tank.

Just create some baffles in the sump, and you're good to go. All of our sumps are similar to this design:

Or you can custom make your own sump to your liking. I paid 30$ for my 30 tank and spent 20$ on a sheet of acrylic and had someone make and install the baffles. Saved me a couple hundred of dollars. Just throwing it out there for you.
